"Summer Body"

As the summer quickly approaches, people are frantically hitting the gym getting the summer body. The workouts are flooding in fast and ready to give everyone feelings of the goal to be the ideal size. Well, the summer body does not have to be this

This is the definition of Summer Body according to Urban Dictionary:

SUMMER BODY

the fucked up thing that society created and expect everybody to have each summer and if they don't, well then your suddenly are "fat, chubby, obese". tired of this shit and these high expectations. FUCK SOCIETY AND EAT LOADS OF CHOCOLATE. And if people ask you why you eat chocolate when you are supposed to get the "summer body ", eat them as well.

Society: "You ain´t got the summer body?" 
Me: "No, but I´m happ..." 
Society: "You can´t sit with us if you ain´t got the summer body!!"

Summer Body is literally your body... in the summer. Swimsuit body is just that, a body in a swimsuit.

You don't have to be out there in the tiniest bikini imaginable! Any body is a perfect summer body!

As I did with Aida last year, I am going to be doing a Pippin IRL series! This is my interpretation of all of the characters from the musical about the young man trying to find his purpose!

Has Spring Really Sprung?

I know this is a belated Happy Spring post, just bear with me.

IT'S SPRINGTIME! Well, at least according to the calendar. According to the weather we're still in PRE-WINTER. I had this dress from Old Navy picked out to wear with a cute pair of heels from Target. Of course it was TOO COLD to wear it!

Being a size 16/L/XL/XXL person, I would recommend this dress. It is really complimentary to your figure.

So, as any regular person would do, I changed into a shirt and pants (Still by Old Navy)

DISCLAIMER: I'm 5'2"... These pants go right to my ankle. I love it!

I BUTTONED IT ALL THE WAY UP. IT'S OKAY. 

Mother nature needs to stop and give us SPRING. I want the spring where the colors come into full bloom and everything is ALIVE. I want to go to breakfast and feel content with the weather. NOT wake up at the buttcrack of dawn, get in my cute dress and FREEZE.

If it means anything, here's my review of the pants and shirt.

Classic Oxford Shirt: It's a good shirt to have and it's comfortable. 

Pixie Pants: THEY'RE SO COMFORTABLE AND SO STRETCHY. 10/10 would recommend. I've had mine for about a year and they're still going strong! Pixie pants are my wardrobe staple. I have larger thighs, and these pants help make them okay!

Two Years

It's been two years since I started this blog. That's insane. I feel like so much has happened and it's surreal. I was able to do interviews with so many people and do amazing things. I would just like to say thank you to all who have read this blog for the past two years, thank you to all who I have interviewed. You all are such amazing people and it was so much fun. Thank you Jake Wall for sharing my interview on your Facebook page and making it BLOW UP with reads. Seeing the numbers skyrocket was really validating and I am grateful. Thank you Timothy Westbrook for doing my first phone interview. That was one of the best interviews I have done and I loved it.

I hope for the future that I can do so much more. Thank you all. I love you guys, girls, and everything inbetween.

Bold Stripes

When I picture Bold Stripes, I see a simple palette, but it's loud. Stripes are technically a neutral, so there is free reign with accessorizing.  These tops are some of the many varieties of stripes. A black pant is the best way to go because black is a neutral, which is good with busy patterns. This trend will probably be successful in 2016.

New Year, New Trends

As 2016 kicks off, there is usually new "hot trends" full of already tried looks in the past. Here are the "Women's fashion trends you'll need to try in 2016, according to Glamour magazine." I plan on doing Polyvore looks for each of these showing what I envision, and putting my two cents in on the trends.
